All our roasts are named after different disciplines in either Skydiving, Paragliding or Paramotoring.
The Mr. Bill skydiving stunt is a dynamic and daring aerial maneuver that combines teamwork, precision, and a touch of insanity.
Two skydivers exit the aircraft together, but instead of immediately separating, one skydiver (the passenger" or "Mr Bill) holds onto the harness of the other skydiver (the pilot) as the pilot deploys his parachute.
As the canopy opens, Mr Bill dangles mid-air, holding on for dear life—or maybe even climbing onto the shoulders of their airborne buddy. Once they’ve had enough of their kodak courage — Mr Bill lets go, dropping back into freefall to deploy his own parachute.
A bold, daring leap—what better metaphor for a fearless, full-throttle coffee roast?
The Misty Flip gets its name from—you guessed it—the Misty Flip in freestyle skiing and snowboarding, where athletes throw themselves into an off-axis backflip with a bit of a spin, because, well… why not?
In paragliding, the move has the same chaotic elegance, with the pilot and glider twisting in a beautifully disorganized, corkscrewed dance through the sky.
The name stuck because both versions share that “I totally meant to do that” kind of flow, smoothly transitioning into whatever madness comes next.
Acro paragliding, much like its rebellious extreme-sports cousins—skateboarding, snowboarding, and anything else where gravity is more of a suggestion—borrows a lot of its lingo from the world of freestyle aerial stunts. Because let’s be honest, if you’re flipping through the air under a glorified bedsheet, you might as well sound cool doing it.
Oh, and the Mo? That’s a nod to a dear, dear friend who knew a thing or two about embracing the wild ride.
